A firiend of the fmaily passed away, so I am helping his wife sell their RV.

1993 Coachman Catalina
GM Truck & Bus frame and drivetrain
Big block 454 engine with just under 60,000 miles (fuel injected)
4 speed automatic with overdrive (i would assume its a 4L80E as 1993 was the first year for that transmission)
roof mounted A/C unit (replaced three year ago)
4,000 watt Onan generator (gasoline)
6 gallon propane fired hot water heater
propane stove
refrigetor will run on electric or propane
mircrowave
TV
bathroom with shower
sofa, kitchen table, full sized bed
air bag leveling suspension in rear
has awning on the side for shade

The RV is in very good condition considering its 19 year old. The roof needs sealed as there are a few minor leaks. I persoanlly walked the roof and it needs recoated and the roof vents need to be caulked. They used this unit for vacations and towed their Chevy HHR behind the RV. The 2-wheel tow dolly is included.

She indicated that they went down to Gatlenburg TN with the RV 2 years ago. On the highway (while towing the HHR) before they hit the mountains, she said it got between 10 and 12 MPG.

Selling the RV is very hard for her, so I offered to help out. It is located near Stubenville Ohio. I am more than happy to meet anyone to go over the RV. However, its 2.5 hrs from my house, so please no tire kickers.

I recently picked up a 1977 Cherokee Chief. It's got the AMC 360 V8, with a 2-barrel carb. This is the wide-track model, which was available only on the 2-Door versions of the Cherokee. The wide-track also allows larger tires to be installed without as extreme of a lift. She needs some TLC, and some repairs, but it's going to be a fun project. This will be a delicate balance of projects easily completed, and easy on the wallet. The big stuff will probably have to come spaced out over time.

Current list of work (as I see it):
Have a the car given a once-over by trailquest to check out engine, tranny, transfer case, axles, etc.
Rear window regulator and seals
Cut off fender flares, and replace (options are one-piece fibergalss quarter panels, fibergalss flares, plastic flares)
Fix front marker light (loose and needs screwed in/fixed)

If anyone has experience with these, I would love to hear from you. This is my first foray into a project like this. Ultimately, I would like her to be trail-ready but also civilized enough to take on trips to the beach and vacations.

Selling a 1990 Kawasaki Zephyr 550 street bike. Bike is in really nice shape, has some scratches through out the paint and some on the right side of motor. It still shines up very nicely. This brike runs really good, but at times it does idle high, i have sprayed the boots around the carbs with oil and it idles down so Im going to say it just needs the boots replaced or tightened up. Bike has 12000 actual miles on it. I have put over 600 miles on it in a month. It has been getting around 200 miles out of a 4gallon tank of fuel. I changed the oil on it before I got it out this year so theres around 600 miles on the oil.

Looking to sell out right for $1200 OBO or trade for a 4x4 atv. The atv needs to be titled, or titleable ( older than 99 and never titled in ohio) I have a free and clear title for this bike. Buy it and ride it home! FULTONHAM OHIO

1995 Geo Tracker, Probably best suited for a trail truck. Its a 1.6 16 Valve/Auto. 2 Door. 235K Miles! But it runs and drives good. The main issues are that the drivers door top hinge is broken, there is a soft top on it for the front but i have nothing for the back, and it shifts fine once warmed up but upon cold start in the morning it doesnt want to shift to second until you take off and go for a few blocks; unlesss you let it warm up first then its fine. It has a clear title. The 4x4 works great, it has the manual lock outs. Its rough around the edges but still a good driver, i drive it a few days a week. It has 3 matching m/t style 215's with decent tread and one 215 bfg a/t. I have a few spare parts even though they are not needed those include a drivers side front axle, brake calipers, and a coil. I'm asking $700 but slightly negotiable. Best way to contact me is to call or text me at 6145987606. I'm on the Westside of Columbus.

I have been thinking about lighting and power for awhile. I wondered about rock lights, trouble lights, flash lights, battery chargers, cell phone chargers, and impact tools. Everything came up short of capability for too many reasons to note.

5 years ago I was using a hand held GPS and plotting it on an old IBM laptop. I used it for long trips and the battery never seemed to last longer than 90 minutes. I bought a 400 watt power inverter to drive the AC power supply of the laptop because it was 50 bucks cheaper than a DC supply. I finally bought a Garmin GPS and now I have a spare inverter.

Soooo... on the list of things to this Summer is to mount the inverter and wire it. I plan to put receptacles in the engine compartment and right rear corner. Then I can throw in a couple of LED trouble lights and look into electric impacts. An impact might be able to be powered directly or if not a battery charger would be no problem.

Is anyone doing anything like this in the club? Any thoughts?

FS: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee - For Parts

I am in the process of getting rid of my 2002 Grand Cherokee. It has some issues, and would need repairs before being road-worthy again. I am able to get around $500 for it for scrap, but would prefer to sell it as parts to someone if they would be able to use it. I am thinking that I would like to get $1000 for it as it sits.

The issue: When braking from 45+ mph, the jeep shakes like a dog trying to get dry (best way I can explain it). The car has 175k+ miles on it, and I am tired of putting money into it. This issue has happened two other times, and the solution from my mechanic at the time was to replace pads and rotors all the way around, and to re-balance the wheels. This solved the problem for around 6 months each time. Then, the problem returned. So, it may have been dealing with a symptom and not the real problem.

Everything else is functional, and it can go sub 45 mph with no issues. In the past two years, I replaced the starter, alternator, water pump, rear axle shafts, battery and tires (including a full-size, matching spare). It also has a pretty serious hitch in the tailgate. It "catches" as you raise it up, and it sounds brutal, almost like it's going to break. I'm not trying to make this thing sound like a death trap, just trying to be open and honest about it. Unbeknownst to me, and not showing on the carfax was the fact that this car had been stolen, and re-titled in the state of Michigan. I came across this when I learned that one of the coil springs on it was actually from a Wrangler, when getting it lifted. I am sure that I am forgetting something on this, but at this point, I think this is most of it.

The good: The tires have less than 5k on them. They are mounted on "soft 8" cragar wheels (with some rust on them, and the center-caps are pretty pitted and rusted). There is a K&N FIPK on the engine, and a throttle body spacer on the air intake. The seats are all in pretty good shape, and so is the interior (a little dirty/dusty, but good).

If anyone is interested, I can go out and take some pics and provide them to whoever wants to see them.

Again, I am selling this as a parts vehicle only, due to the unknown mechanical issue.

The vehicle is located in West Columbus, near Hilliard.

The easiest way to reach me is through email: farrelljt@gmail.com

Edited to Add: I have now discovered a coolant leak. I found some dex-cool on the pavement where it was parked, and looked in the reservoir and found it empty. It may be just a cracked hose, but it could be as severe as a cracked radiator. Just making sure to be as honest about this as possible.

Hey there! I am moving to the Alum Creek area mid summer and would like to hook up with a local club. I currently spend most of my time wheeling with the NEO 4x4 club up here in Cleveland @ Southington Off Road Park (formerly known as JeepSkool). My current rig is a 1979 Jeep Wagoneer and I love it! What kind of mix of rigs do you guys have in Ohio 4x4? Is it all short wheelbase Jeeps (cj, jk, yj), or do you guys mix it up a bit? I know your club spends the 2nd weekend every month on a south eastern private Ohio trail which is exactly what I would like to do! How is the trail cut? Can longer wheelbase rigs make it with out kissing every other tree? How about a mild modified Wagoneer? Will a 4" lift and 31's be enough to hang with you guys and gals?
